‘MORE WITH LESS’ (emissions),
A COMPETITION ORGANIZED BY THE UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID TO PROMOTE A SUSTAINABLE WAY OF THINKING AMONG EUROPEAN YOUTH
· The UPM, within the framework of the energy efficiency projects SDE and 10Action, has announced the competition 'MORE with LESS (emissions).'
· The aim of this European Project is to raise awareness about the need to use renewable energies and make a responsible use of energy, and to promote energy efficiency and sustainability by disseminating the knowledge gained during the Solar Decathlon Europe competition.
The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM, leader of the European project 10Action, has just announced the competition 'MORE with LESS (emissions)’, aimed at all the European university students of Architecture, Engineering, Design and related studies.
This competition challenges students to suggest new concepts, ideas and designs, by using sustainability as driving force and seeking energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies. It has been divided into four different categories in order to comprise all the fields: Architecture/Building typologies, Urban and Territorial Intervention, Technologies and Systems, and Reflections on and Proposal for a Sustainable village / city.
The participants must submit their proposals before February 29th 2012 after registering at http://concursoschneider.
This competition is part of the activities of the project 10Action, financed by the programme Intelligent Energy Europe and intended to bring about a change in the attitudes of European’s citizens in the fields of consumption, use and production of energy.
'MORE with LESS (emissions)’ is organized by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and the Austrian Energy Agency (Austria) and is sponsored by Schneider Electric.
